BARP, flew p2p silently a few times. No wing droop noticed. Grabbed to check wrists. Both look great, scabbed over. NOLO. Gave water. Dr. G notes pending.

Right carpus still has a relatively big scab that extends under the sutures but there is no inflammation, puffiness, or signs of dehiscence. Left carpus well-healed. All right to d/c future doctor checks.

Bird is BAR and feisty. Left carpus looks great, minimal scabbing, no bruising. R carpus has slightly more scabbing, along the whole suture line. There is no inflammation or swelling, no oozing. All sutures are intact. 
Restained OD - still negative. 
Would like to recheck R carpus one more time, but otherwise it looks like problems are resolving nicely. 
Moved to larger Mew. Dr Gardner

Stained eyes then anesthetized for intake radiographs. 
Radiographs were nsf. Removed the bumpers over both carpi to find that scabs had come off of both and the joint capsule was exposed. 
Moved upstairs and intubated for wound debridement. 
After surgery both joint capsules covered, although there is a change of dehiscence especially on the R wing. 
Keep covered for now. Restain eye and replace bandages/ recheck Monday, then again next Friday. 
Added Clavamox for 1 week. Dr Gardner

Surgery report
Procedure - Wound debridement
Performed by - Dr Gardner
Surgery time - 20 minutes
Scrubbed and flushed both carpi. Removed compromised/ brittle
scar tissue from around point of carpal joint down to fresh bleeding
tissue and flushed copiously. Closed both carpi w/ 4-0 PDS, horizontal
mattress pattern. Wound on R carpus is larger and wider - some
of the SQ is exposed and included in the tissue "bandage" that
I pulled together with the sutures rather than the skin, but
the object was to cover the joint capsule. Tension not too bad
on either afterwards. 
Bandaged w/ Coloplast over carpi, Telfa, Tegaderm.
